It's not often that folks get this excited about a three-row full-size SUV, but Nissan dealers are more than thrilled to help drivers experience the newly refreshed and reimagined 2025 Armada. The basics of the Nissan Armada haven't changed much; it's still the reliable, capable, eight-passenger SUV you remember. At the same time, Nissan has introduced a new trim, a new engine, more space, and loads of new comfort and tech features. That's enough "new" to get the attention of experts and drivers alike.
Now offered in your choice of five trims and in either rear- or all-wheel drive configurations, the Nissan Armada provides all kinds of drivers with the comfort, convenience, and capability they deserve. In fact, with the latest upgrades and additions, you might say drivers can get even more than they hoped, regardless of their driving needs. So, let's take a look at what's new for the 2025 Nissan Armada and why so many drivers are excited to get behind the wheel...
The First-Ever Armada PRO-4X
For over a decade, Nissan's PRO-4X trims have been helping drivers take on different terrains to explore the roads less traveled. The 2025 Armada is the latest in the Nissan lineup to gain a PRO-4X trim, joining rugged models like the Frontier PRO-4X.
To prepare the Armada for the wild side, Nissan has raised the suspension by 2.1 inches and added Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension technology. As a result, the Armada PRO-4X has a ground clearance of 9.6 inches, an approach angle of 33 degrees, a 25.5-degree breakover angle, and a 24.5-degree departure angle. Standard underbody skid plates keep the important parts safe, too.
Nissan's Intelligent 4WD technology is standard on the Armada PRO-4X, along with a total of eight selectable drive modes. Choosing between Standard, Eco, Sport, Tow, Snow, Sand, Rock, and Mud/Rut modes adjusts traction, acceleration, and braking based on the ground surface. In addition, the PRO-4X trim includes an Off-Road Information Display, which provides drivers with important information about slip, angles, and steering details.
Perhaps one of the most exciting features of the Nissan Armada PRO-4X is the sheer number of external camera views. The Invisible Hood View offers a virtual view of terrain under the engine bay, providing drivers with more insight into potential obstacles. A 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor gives drivers the ability to adjust and rotate the camera angle, while the Front Wide View gives a greater picture of forward-facing surroundings. All in all, the first-ever Armada PRO-4X is ready for adventure, wherever that might take you.

Upgraded Power Output
The 2025 Nissan Armada has also gotten an upgrade in power and performance. While the 5.6L V8 engine that powered the 2024 Armada and its predecessors offered a healthy amount of zip, the new engine takes things to a higher level of performance.
Previously, the Nissan Armada enjoyed 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. While the previous figures were perfectly fine, the 2025 Nissan Armada is outfitted with a twin-turbocharged, direct-injection 3.5L V6 engine that provides 425 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, drivers can expect more responsive acceleration from the 2025 Armada.
With this power, the 2025 Armada is capable of towing up to 8,500 lbs. To accommodate this, all models are equipped with a tow hitch, harness, and pre-wiring. Newly-standard Trailer Blind Spot Monitoring accommodates trailers up to 33 feet in length in determining whether it's safe to change lanes or maneuver in tight spots.
Inspired Levels of Comfort
The interior of the 2025 Nissan Armada can be described as "just right." With a substantial increase in space and a selection of trims that cater to comfort behind the wheel, there's a lot to like inside the latest Armada. The first place you'll notice this growth is in the legroom, as the front seats gain 4.2 inches of legroom, while the third row gets an additional 5.7 inches of legroom.
For those who haul more cargo than passengers, fear not, as this increase in legroom translates to more space for your belongings, as well. With all seats occupied, the 2025 Armada sees a 24% increase in space to 20.4 cu.ft. With the third row folded, this becomes 56.3 cu.ft. of cargo space. When the second and third rows are both stowed, the Armada can accommodate an incredible 97.1 cu.ft. of stuff. Optional equipment like a power liftgate or motion-activated liftgate can make loading and unloading this massive space easier than ever.
Across the trim lineup (which includes the SV, SL, PRO-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve), Nissan has provided each Armada with a carefully cultivated selection of cozy features. While the SV starts things off with leatherette seats and tri-zone automatic temperature control, the SL adds heated front seats. Moving up to the Armada Platinum, climate-controlled front seats are added, while the Platinum Reserve includes climate-controlled massaging front seats.
The Platinum and Platinum Reserve trims also include a Biometric Cooling feature, which can use roof-mounted infrared sensors to not only determine whether front or second-row occupants are overheating but to direct the right amount of cool air toward that section of the cabin.

Top-Notch Technology
Of course, comfort isn't the only thing drivers look for in a well-appointed SUV. As we spend more and more time behind the wheel, it's essential that we have technology that makes life easier for us and can help us stay connected to our lives outside of the car.
The 2025 Armada's cockpit includes two 12.3-inch screens (or 14.3-inch screens in the PRO-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve trims). One of these screens is dedicated to driver information and instrumentation, while the other is the touchscreen for the infotainment system. The SV and above include a premium 12-speaker Klipsch audio system, allowing you to hear your drive tunes in perfect detail, as well as standard Google Built-In.
The Armada's available tech expands out of the cabin to driver assistance, as well. The SV and PRO-4X trims include standard ProPILOT Assist, which helps drivers maintain their position in their lane and an adequate distance from traffic in front of them. The SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve trims include standard ProPILOT Assist 1.1, which adds a navigational system that helps the Armada automatically adjust for road and traffic conditions while in Intelligent Cruise Control mode. Drivers of these trims may also opt for ProPILOT Assist 2.1, which lets drivers take their hands off the wheel while maintaining attention to the road.
Fully Refreshed and Ready to Roll
You already know the Nissan Armada as one of the most good-looking, capable three-row SUVs on the market, and the changes that come with the 2025 model year only improved this eight-passenger SUV. Nissan's refresh of the Armada not only reinforces our belief in this fantastic vehicle but elevates it to the next level.
Not only did the lineup gain an entirely new trim, but the existing ones got a full refresh. With a more powerful engine under the hood and a remodeled interior that gives everyone more usable space, the 2025 Armada had us impressed right away. The addition of new, upgraded interior features and intuitive tech was just the cherry on top!
